Study Islam the way a student of knowledge does.
Lectures from the scholars with full transcripts, summaries and quizzes. The Qur'an, short daily benefits, prayer times with adhān reminders, and a bookshelf for your own books. One calm app, built to help knowledge stay with you.
Coming soon to iPhone and AndroidLaunching on the App Store and Google Play in 2026.

Lectures you can read as well as hear
Every lecture series comes with a transcript that follows the audio line by line, a written summary of each lesson, and space for your own notes. Pause on a hadith, scroll back to a point you missed, or keep listening with the screen locked.
Series include Keys to Patience, an explanation of selected ahadith on sabr, and Ibn al-Qayyim's explanation of Surat al-Fatihah, alongside standalone lectures on the Names of Allah, honouring parents, the grave and the Hereafter.

Revise what you learned
Each lesson has a short quiz and a set of revision cards written from what was actually said in it. Test yourself straight after listening, then come back days later so the knowledge settles.
Your progress, scores and notes stay on your phone.

A few minutes of benefit every day
Short answers from senior scholars such as Shaykh Ibn Baz and Shaykh Ibn Uthaymin, a few minutes each, organised by topic: parents, patience, charity, manners, creed, repentance and more.
Each one shows the original question and answer in Arabic with an English translation, and the source it came from.

The Qur'an, in the Mushaf or verse by verse
Read page by page in the Madinah Mushaf, or verse by verse with an English translation and tajweed colouring. Listen to recitation, with lock-screen controls, and bookmark where you stopped.

About ilem
ilem is made by Ilem Ltd, a small independent company in London. We built it because we wanted a serious, trustworthy place to study on our phones: real lectures from people of knowledge, presented so that you can learn from them rather than just listen.
Lectures and benefits are used with the permission of the speakers and organisations who recorded them, and every source is credited in the app. There are no adverts and no tracking.
